Our story on the island of Elba
A life project in the old town of Porto Azzurro.
Welcome to Prezzemolina, our corner of good food and calm in the heart of the old town of Porto Azzurro.
Our story began in 2019, when my wife Anna and I (Vlatko) decided to start a project bringing together our passion for hospitality and good food. We are in the old town of Porto Azzurro, just behind the main square: we may not have a sea view, but we offer the most genuine, intimate and welcoming atmosphere of the real old town of Elba.
Today Prezzemolina has three souls, all within about forty metres of one another: the restaurant on the pedestrian square, and the Il Caveau wine bar and the Kids Club a little further along, in Vicolo Santander.
When our daughter Matilde was born we understood how precious it is to enjoy a dinner or a glass in complete peace: that is how the Kids Club came about, the latest door we have opened.
Prezzemolina is not just a business: it is our life project. We look forward to making you feel at home.

The restaurant opens in Via Cesare Battisti: twenty-five seats outdoors and a seafood kitchen.
The Il Caveau wine bar opens in Vicolo Santander, thirty metres away, open all year round.
The Kids Club arrives, in the same alley next to Il Caveau: a sheltered space for children.

Our philosophy
How we work
Hospitality learned elsewhere,
served in an informal way.
We describe our dishes and wines simply, without jargon: what we want most is for everyone who sits at our tables to enjoy their holiday without a care.
The professional experience we gained in high-end establishments taught us the art of hospitality: today we apply it in a warm, informal setting, with few tables and a lot of attention.
- 25 seats outdoors at the restaurant, 15 indoors and 30 outside at Il Caveau: booking is advisable.
- Traditional cooking and dishes from Elba, with a menu that changes two or three times a season.
- A dog-friendly place, with a Monge welcome treat for dogs.
