Il Caveau, wine bar in Porto Azzurro
In the alley, about thirty metres from the restaurant: a well-chosen glass, a cocktail, a cold-cut board. Open all year round, with the same care in the quieter months too.
Opened in 2021 in Vicolo Santander, about thirty metres from the restaurant, Il Caveau was created to give the old town a meeting place open in every season. There are 15 seats indoors, among walls lined with wine crates, and 30 outside in the alley.
When the restaurant is open, you can order from the same menu here: same kitchen, different atmosphere.
In winter Il Caveau changes pace and focuses on aperitifs, sandwiches and cold-cut boards, with a selection of wines and cocktails for low-season evenings.

An award
Among the best wine bars in Italy.
Il Caveau della Prezzemolina received the 2023/2024 National Award “The Best Wine Bars in Italy”. The plaque hangs in the room above the blue sofas: for a fifteen-seat wine bar in an alley in Porto Azzurro, it is a quiet satisfaction.
Behind it lies a list built bottle by bottle: great Tuscans, the finest labels from the island of Elba, sparkling wines, and a selection of gin, rum and whisky for after dinner.
Low season
In winter we are sheltered.
Out of season Porto Azzurro has a different rhythm, slower and all its own, and the alley shelters it from the wind. Il Caveau remains the place to meet in November or February too: a glass, a couple of boards, and all the time you need.
For birthdays, toasts and group dinners we also open the restaurant on request, indoors and warm.
