Where we are

All within
thirty paces.

We are in the old town of Porto Azzurro, just behind the main square. The restaurant lays its tables outdoors on the pedestrian square of Via Cesare Battisti, where half the town strolls by in the evening.

About thirty metres away, in Vicolo Santander, you will find the Il Caveau wine bar and the Kids Club: there the alley is traffic-free and leads nowhere, sheltered from the wind, and children play right beside the tables.

How to find us

Vlatko and Anna · Our philosophy

At the table

Fresh fish and traditional cooking

Our kitchen looks to the sea and to the dishes of Elba, with ingredients chosen fresh each day. For those who do not eat fish there are always meat dishes, and for little ones a menu of their own. The menu changes two or three times a season.

The menu

Out of season

We stay open in winter

Il Caveau is open all year round: aperitifs, cold cuts, sandwiches and wine by the glass even in January. The restaurant opens on request for large tables, birthdays and group dinners, indoors and warm.

The wine bar

Something for everyone

Gluten-free pasta and tailored dishes

We keep gluten-free pasta and gladly prepare dishes for guests with allergies or intolerances, as well as vegetarian and vegan options. Tell us what you need when you book and we will arrange it.

With us

Your dog is a guest too

We are a dog-friendly place: a water bowl at the table and, thanks to our partnership with Monge, a small welcome treat for your dog. A dog that feels looked after stays calm, and so does the table next to yours.
